Business Systems Support Officer, Adelaide Oval

I’ve had a passion for ICT from an early age and have always enjoyed helping others by solving technical issues wherever possible. This naturally led me to pursue a deeper understanding of all things ICT.

As I approached the end of high school, I enrolled in a Certificate III in Information Technology at Thebarton Senior College, which allowed me to complete my high school studies a year early.

This gave me the opportunity to undertake a Diploma of Information Technology Networking at TAFE SA. These courses provided me with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary to expand my expertise and kick-start my career in ICT.

As most people will attest, the job search process takes time and effort. I sought guidance from my lecturers and took advantage of job listings shared by coordinators and employers. After completing my diploma, I applied for several roles, attended interviews, and ultimately secured an ICT position at Adelaide Oval.

I’ve now been at Adelaide Oval for three years, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I began as a casual IT Help Desk Assistant, then progressed to a full-time ICT Help Desk Officer, and I’m now a Business Systems Support Officer. It has been a fantastic opportunity to work at such an iconic venue, hosting a wide variety of prestigious events.

During my time here, I’ve had the chance to work across multiple facets of ICT, including applications, point of sale systems, networking, infrastructure, stadium television, audio-visual systems, customer service, and troubleshooting.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue growing within the ICT field and taking on new challenges. My journey so far has reinforced my passion for technology and problem-solving, and I am eager to further my skills, whether it’s through new certifications, projects, or roles. The foundation I’ve built in my current position has set me on a path for long-term success, and I look forward to what the future holds.
