The first Australian exhibition of Dale Chihuly's work will offer a unique program of activities, offering you opportunities to explore the art again and again.

Inspired by his mother’s love of gardens and his own connection to nature, Chihuly embarked on creative journey to develop massive architectural glass installations for display in botanic gardens.

Dale Chihuly pioneered a new way of working, utilising gravity and centrifugal force to let molten glass find its shape in its own organic way. Asymmetry and irregularity is a defining principle of his work.

As you embark on a leisurely journey of artistic discovery through Adelaide Botanic Garden’s manicured landscapes and magnificent tree-lined avenues, an event by the world’s most celebrated contemporary glass artist, Dale Chihuly, awaits you.

Experience the vibrant, large-scale sculptures in the beautiful botanical destination. Visit the magnificent Bicentennial Conservatory to see Chihuly’s glass sculptures erupt from the lush rainforest.

Extend your visit to sunset to witness how the changing light lends new dimensions to these sculptures.
